Through a partnership between Arthrex, Clemson and The Hawkins Foundation, twenty-two students in the Clemson University Sales Innovation Program were selected following an application process to take part in the first ROPES externship. ROPES, Representative Orthopedic Procedure Experience Simulator, provides an instructional, hands-on experiential opportunity for students pursuing a future career as an Arthrex Technology Consultant. Following interactive lecture discussion led by Steadman Hawkins orthopedic surgeon Michael Kissenberth, MD, students observed and assisted with performing an array of orthopedic surgical procedures at the Hawkins Foundation Bio-Skills Lab.
